I have had a search and read through a few threads regards buying a new van abroad in order to try and reduce the price.

I would be grateful if anybody could help steer me in the right direction at this stage if possible.

We are looking at buying a Burstner Argos (RHD) with a few choice spec options, e.e uprated to 5500kg, 180bhp engine, upgraded 250l fresh water tank etc etc......

Can anybody recommend any continental dealers in either Belgium or Germany that have successfully supplied Burstners at competative prices to U.K customers in the past for us to get in contact with?

Also can anybody link me into a thread or website that comprehensively covers the procedures and pitfalls to look out for when importing a motorhome from Europe.

TIA (y)

It looks like that is a 2010 van so im assuming it was imported as a used van and not a new one? Is the procedure the same for new and used vans?

I think you will find it very hard to source a RHD Burstner abroad, the only coachbuilts that are easily avalible from foreign dealers in RHD are Hymer and then it will add 4/5 months to the delivery & €1500 to the price.
Much more sensible to buy LHD, as when you come to sell/trade you can do it in any country, RHD you are stuck with selling in the UK or accepting UK dealers pathetic trade in prices.

Thats interesting Lenny thanks. We dont mind waiting for the vehicle to be built bespoke for us as we plan on keeping this van until our kids no longer want to holiday with us and with them being just 5, 3 and not born yet that will be a while.
