Buying a Hymer

I am planning to buy a Hymer. This is going to be my first A class Hymer I have owned a C class motorhome previously. I have seen a 1990 Hymer on a citron chassis. It has a 2.5 turbo diesel, with power steering. Mileage is around 100k miles. It is on a short wheel base with a total length of 19 feet. Any advice on price and what to look for would be really appreciated.

Check the MOT history with the registration number, it tells you a lot about how it's been maintained.
After that it, chassis rust, leaks and appliances ?
At that age it's going to need some tlc, are you able to do routine stuff yourself ? it'll save you loads of dosh if you can

Thanks for your reply.I have already checked the mot history and it does not have any issue with rust noting has ever been mentioned in any mot year about the vehicle having rust issuesand I physically checked the chassis and it was just surface rust in some places. The current owner mentioned that there was a leak from the front vent where the over cab bed is but it has been fixed like three years ago. All the appliances fridge, heating, hot water works. The only issue is with the manual entrance step it comes out with the lever but you have to manually push it back in its place not going in with the lever.
