Bus pass application help needed - I know! I don’t look old enough!! (1 Viewer)

I’m probably putting this question in the wrong part of the forum, but hey ho!
I‘m trying to apply for my bus pass online, & all goes well until the photo part. I thought “great, I can use the photo I used for my passport, I have that in my photos…” but no. It is apparently the wrong aspect ratio. Now I probably changed something online when I got my passport, so I thought I’d take another photo. Looked up how to change aspect ratio on iPhone (12 pro max, if that makes a difference), but I can only change it to 4:3 & the bus pass wants 3:4. My question (at last!) is - is that the same? I have to set up white sheets for the background & all sorts , so before I do that, can anyone help?

I had this same problem this week max size was 2mb so had to reduce my photo in size, or just take another photograph with your phone

I did mine a couple of days ago and the software allowed me to take a selfie. Pretty grim but I am hoping it will be too small to see

I did my original application at our Library. (Cornwall)
They took the photo, (I presume it was a County wide system which included library cards and the like)
You could ask the question and save yourself grief.

The free app Photoshop Express for IOS allows you do do this and is useful anyway.

Happened to be latest photo on my ipad, Daughter-in-law sent it yesterday while on Tenby Beach, Son and 2 boys out on a fishing trip (unsuccessful) being buffeted around.

I did mine while in Portugal last month, and just took a selfie on the smartphone, whilst sat in the MH. It was accepted, and went off with the online application. I didn't even need to resize it.

It's said that if you look like your bus pass photo you're probably not fit enough to travel.

Presumably 3:4 just means they want portrait style as opposed to Landscape?

I get lots of photos from folks using i-phones and it's not at all unusual for them to show as 90degrees rotated to what the sender thinks they have sent. It's only ever from i-phone users!

Get an android phone
