Hiya

Seen a few comments on Google about a problem similar to mine with Burstner floor delamination

Had our 66 plate van for 18 months from Camper UK and noticed a problem about 3 months back

Sent a video and photos off to them and had approval from Bursther HQ to fix it but they are asking for a £1700 contribution !!

Bit narked as dealer must have been aware of issue at the time. Anyone else had similar experience?

Cheers

Thanks Phil, good to hear you're sorted (y)

Burstner explained they would bear the majority of costs as keen to investigate the problem for which i am grateful but a conribution was required because of "advancing age and stresses from load during travel plus frequency of use "

Will leave that there.....

Cheers

Hi We also have a burstner (2015 Ixeo) with the floor delaminating.
We contacted Camper UK in November 2022 regarding this problem. Sent them a video as requested, and they contacted Burstner who have agreed to fix the problem. Like you they have asked me to pay £1700.

I am not best pleased with this but what is even worse for us is that the repair is not going to be carried out until March 2024. ( Not a typo it is 2024) This is over 15 months away and they say they need the motorhome for 3 weeks to complete.
Did they say when your motorhome would be repaired?

Ours took 3 weeks. It’s because of drying time between operations.

So it’s a paid for fix then, I presume Camper UK gets the money?

It just seems like a good way to get the customer to pay for it without directly saying so.

I would think the rate they receive from burstner is crap so the dealer adds cash payment to make it worth their while. But looking at the date given makes me think it's still a job they would rather not do.

I'm a newbie
Hi There

We have a Iexo 680g (2017) with until now no signs of any lamination.
The van has the winter pack option with underfloor heating, I am very reluctant to use the heated floor just in case it brings about any problems with the floor de laminating.
My questions are
1, How many of the people who have had problems have and used regularly the heated floor option.
2, Normally how long does it take to show signs of the lamination.
3, Has anyone got any pictures to show the areas affected and the scale of the problem.
Many thanks for any help

Regarding The floor repair on our Burstner, rang Camper Uk and spoke to a very nice lady in their service department as to why it was not going to be until March 2024 before my repair going to be done. She said they were now booking people in for November 2024. The reason for the delay is that they are the only people in the UK doing the repairs, and they have one man working 9 months of the year just doing this work. (The other 3 months he is doing other work and holidays).
Because they are the only people authorised by Burstner they are having to do other dealers motorhomes as well.
Regarding the £1700.00 I have to pay, Burstner are paying everything on vans up to 5 years old. Vans older they are requesting part payment from the owner. This is set by Burstner.
Regarding the heated floor Knightpk6 (#8) has, when reading the work required they cut through this so if you need a repair the under floor heating won’t work afterwards.

I have always found Camper Uk to be very good to deal with, I bought my van from them in February 2019 and if I was to change my van I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to them.

Sorry for the log but I hope this helps other Burstner owners.

Apparently they had 3 vans in different stages of the repair yesterday when I rang. Maybe if Burstner would authorise other dealers to do the work and other dealers sent their workforce to be trained to carry out this work, people wouldn’t have to wait so long.

Just collected our Burstner today, from Camper UK after having the floor sorted.
They initially said they needed it for 3 weeks, but has been completed in 1week.
Makes me wonder if they are making short cuts.
When I asked what sort of warranty I get, they didn’t know. They have promised to email me when they find out how long the warranty for the repair is.
As I have had to pay £1700.00 contribution I am not best pleased to say the least.

Anyway we can now get everything back into the motorhome ready for our trip to Norway next month. Plus we get the spare bedrooms back.
