IMG_0257.JPG IMG_0258.JPG Just spent a few days at Burry Port, parked alongside a cycle track that goes for miles in both directions. Overlooking a lovely sandy beach where the dog can ru freely.

£8.00 per night, pay the Harbour Master.

Haven't found many places in the UK to better it.

Not in this country (y) about 15 vans there last time we went. apart from the childish kids racing around and sounding their horn at 2 in the morning a very motorhome friendly place:D

Yep, when we went there a couple of yrs ago it was a great little spot, on the beach, water available, bins, shops not too far away, great cycle paths and walks along the coastal paths, but last time we went (last yr) it was rammed with screaming kids, chavz in cars throwing litter out the windows... how its changed, still nice to go there i suppose if its outta season when not so many about...
Plenty of spots around the peak district for wild camping (or sites if you prefer the sardine lifestyle) great cycle paths around the 3 dams and walks everywhere.

We have developed a real soft spot for Southport and the humble Pleasure Beach car park.

The car park is just that with a crude waste dump and a hosepipe but with a warm welcome.

The town itself is a bit of old Victoria that they have kept alive. The parks and gardens are well loved. The facilities cater for all your needs, Morrison's just across the road from the parking and every eatery imaginable a short walk into town.
