I'm a newbie
For anyone thinking of visiting Burr's country Park CCMH site it's very nice , the park is beautiful and right on the edge of the site, pub at the gate and another about 1/2 m walk on the access road , the conductor told us the caravan club paid for the station to be built so members get buy one free on a round trip ticket , get on and off at all the stations if you want

£14.50 for 2 if booked online rather than £20 each if you just arrive at the station to buy a ticket

Nice view from the pitches

The pub at the gate used to do the largest gammon steak ever and the burgers were great!:mm:

As you say, the view of the locomotives \ trains is great.

One of the times we were there we had missed the Flying Scotsman pulling the train by a day!:crying:

However, there's always some downsides!
As there's also a river and canal close by the size of the rodent population seems to be of concern!

And the local wildlife is fierce! Thank G*d this lot were packed and going off on their holidays!:whew:

A serious downside is the circus \ fairground when they visit use the park next door so noise can be an issue.:(
