Hi Top
Exp
since 2006
Staying 3 nights at C&MC Burnham, wonder what to see whilst we are there?

First thing would be a walk up and along Brean Down which is right at the end of the road along through Burnham.
Then Cheddar Gorge.
Somerset levels and the starling murmarations if right time of year - I'll go away and check.
Glastonbury
Street outlet centre if shopping is your thing.

might be too early for the starlings

Mr porky recently stayed see post #32 here for some photos

What a strange thing to say....
Well the caravan site sprawl bit (commercial not only C&MC) is not the nicest of places, but the beach is big enough to escape and so is Brean Down. The sea is really the Bristol Channel and has one of the highest tide ranges in the world so often it is out of sight across a very muddy sandy expanse.
look out for any warning signs about quicksand but it should be OK near the caravan sites.

We called into Burnham last year and while we were sat having a coffee got chatting to a lady who said the place was so bad even Morrison’s had left and she was about to do the same, must admit we will not be in a rush to go back 🙂

Must admit we wouldn’t go back there, have heard that it has had some dodgy people recently ☹️

Just up the A38 is Ollie's Diner / Restaurant. Enjoyed lunch there on our (many) trips to and from Highbridge Caravans. Assuming Ollies' is open again. Reasonably big gravel car park.

Yes even I was amazed when they shut. & they provided official MH parking .
Thought I saw somewhere that it had reopened as something else now. ?
Home Bargains? B&M ?

Check out this Indian takeaway, it's very good... And I'm fussy 😑👌

Yes it's now a B&M and the motorhome parking is still there but no naked flames and no overnight parking.
