I want to connect my BBQ to my bulfinch gas connector on the van. Its a blue 'gaz' BBQ so i guess everything is 'normal size'.

i bought one of these but i think i need something else - one of these? From what i can see, i screw in the second item into the van and then connect the gas tube to the outlet? In which case i dont need any of the connectors i already bought, just the hose?

You are correct. The first link is a hose to hose connector. The second is the male fitting that goes into the bullfinch socket that is plumbed into and fixed to the van.

thanks - and when i fit the male into the van and twist it down, the gas will flow - i dont need to switch on any other gas supply?

Agreed. At least that is how ours works.

You’re correct did exactly the same last week.

Just check the working pressure of the bbq is the same as the regulator

Fitted external Bullfinch BBQ socket in our van when we first got it, you will need both the parts you have listed. All works well, the hardest part was running the copper pipe, and having the guts to drill a hole in the side of the van.
Both the socket and the male plug came with the kit when I purchased it, so question is where is the male socket that should have been given to you with the van? Its £19.05 to buy off e bay, Ouch!

Yes as others have said. The red but in your second link should connect to what is already fitted your van. You could fit the other end to your BBQ inlet with the jubilee clip but it will be easier to connect and remove if you use the quick release connector that you have bought at the BBQ end too, so the pipe can be disconnected at both ends.

Apparently there are low pressure and high pressure BBQ. High P are the likes of canister gas, the outlet from your Bullfinch will be low pressure.

I Installed an 8mm quick release connector to bbq, which I found useful, easy to store the pipe and Bullfinch end.
