Does anyone have a good solution!

Not a screenwash but Lidl baby wipes work brilliantly, probably all the others do as well just leaves a few streaks that come off with the wipers
I tried that once, but struggled to fill up the washer bottle and they jammed the nozzles on the bonnet 🙄😇😂

We used to have loads of threads about insect removal. Swapping secrets about damp j-cloths and family recipes about gunk for removal. Funsters would tell tales about applying cling film to their luton for a long trip South. How their white van was streaked with so much blood, it looked like a hit and run scene.

Not any more. There seems to be only a fraction of the bugs around these days, couple of wipes with a bug scraper sponge and they are gone, certainly no need for cling film. :(

We were liberally coated in May whilst touring France. I took an extending brush and was able to wash them off after an overnight rain storm.

My father always used toothpaste. He said it cleaned his teeth so it cleans the windscreen.

My grandfather once cleaned his false teeth with Bostick. He had not his glasses on and thought it was toothpaste. But that's another story

I was washing the windscreen of my A class every single day whilst in France, using plain water incidentally. Returned from Suffolk a couple of weeks ago and never had to wash the screen once. Do French bugs have more suicidal tendencies than British ones?
