As it seems that us males will be unable to have or hair cut in the foreseeable future. I take it that the sales of Brylcreem will be on the rise. Why? because I reckon we will be going back to the good old DA!

When we used to go to our local baths, as a boy, on the way out they had a brylcreem dispenser, it was 1d per dollop, and it was a big dollop. Mixed with the chlorinated water it was great, stuck your hair down all day.
Crikey, I actually remember that!

One of the dodges the Barbers used/use was to put their combs in a heavy mixture of sugar and water. The customer generally believed it was a sterilizing solution. . After the cut a liberal use of the mixture on a comb, set your hair in super quick time, and hid all the Barbers mistakes until you got home.

Rod Stewart in the early years used such a mixture to style his wild hair style.

Ah, the benefit of having a low-maintenance bonce.....?

I went to a new barbers and said " I would like my hair cut like Tom Cruise"...…..
after about 10 minutes the clippers were racing across my head leaving me almost bald..,
I said, "hang on a minute, Tom Cruise doesn't have his hair done like this" !!!...…….
he said," he does if he comes in here"...…… :Eeek:

We used to suck it out from the spout ,yuck

Perhaps the sales increase is due to a couple of RAF squadrons returning to the U.K. from deployment abroad.
Over and out! :imoutahere:
You would probably get a dishonourable discharge for saying ”over and out” they are contradictory statements. Over means I am waiting to hear from you and out means conversation ended.

Me too! Surprisng what memories are revived on this forum (or are we just a load of old codgers?)

Wife does mine, has done for years. A quick run over with the No. 2 guide every few weeks. I even bought her a new cordless set of clippers for her birthday.................:eek:

In Private Eye they used to have a section called Pedants Corner.
Some pedant complained that is was , in fact, a column .

Its on Utube, if I knew how to load it on here I would, but I dont, so I cant.
One of yews out there can do it???!

My wife cuts mine so no problem, but I still have nightmares from being a child, my mother cutting my hair at home with something like the ktel hair magician, ladies may say having babies is painful, nothing compares to that device and me mum telling me to be quiet at not such a baby. My brother has same nightmare.
