An update on my boy

I am just back from the vets.

Hopefully he will recover and share some more time with me.

He is running a very high fever which is disorientating him and has been given a huge injection of antibiotics and another huge one of anti-inflammatory medicine and on 8 tramodol a day, now and all I can do is wait.

He has to go back to the vets tomorrow night so all I can do now is see how he goes.

Thanks for all the kind wishes at least he has come back home with me.I am just back from the vets.

Hopefully he will recover and share some more time with me.

Great news John,:thumb: not out of the woods yet I know but I really feared the worst yesterday, as I'm sure most of us did. Be strong for him,

Regards, Derek and The Burnip.:thumb:

Hi John,

Same sentiments as Derek. Fingers and toes crossed for Bruno, eh? :thumb:

You two take it easy. We are hoping to read a post either on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, reporting of Bruno's road to recovery. That would be good news. :thumb:

Kindest regards,

Jock & Rita.

Hi road runner i hope everything goes ok with bruno.I to own a larger breed,, bull mastiff, and know how attached you get,but my advice ,for what its worth, would be listen to the vet and have someone with you incase you dont take in whats being said, and then decide whats the best for bruno.Best of luck

Hi John,
Just picked up your post. We were both sad to read the initial page and elated when you returned from the vet. We will keep our fingers crossed for you both and hope he has a few more years with you yet. You are one of a pair and we couldn't imagine life without you both around. We all know how much he loves Suzie, and she him??? even when he went bounding past her at Morcambe to 'make friends' with another dog.
Good luck for tomorrow.

He has manage to get up on his own today albeit gingerly, it seem obvious that his fever was the main problem and the anti inflammatory have helped.

I am hoping with some constant medication for arthritis he will be around a little while longer.

To the vets again at 4.30 so see what the experts say.

Who in their right mind has pets???????

The stress i have been in has been awful cos I love this boy to bits.

Thanks for the ongoing concern and report back later.
