Lots but slow learner.
For my note book.
Anyone know if there is a site for MHs within walking distance to Brooklands Motor Museum?

None within walking distance unfortunately, Chertsey CMC, or Walton On Thames are the nearest I know of.

Thanks for that.
Will check if that C site will let commoners on.

There are very large Tesco & M&S carparks within walking distance and Weybridge Rail station about a mile away but the nearest are the two mentioned.

Chertsey is a CCC site (and will not let non-members on) not C&MHC and Walton CCC site has no toilets or shower block and down a single track lane.

The nearest non-member site, that I can think of, is Apps Farm, near Hampton Court.

Chertsey site is currently undergoing upgrading and is , I believe, not open until later in the season. Walton on Thames site (CCC members only) is about 4 miles away. It is a huge lovely open site but down a narrow lane. There is a bus stop not far from the entrance and a main line railway station not too far away. Yes, it has no toilets or showers but if you have those on board, why not use them?? I too am thinking of going to Brooklands and am contemplating this site as it's within easy range of my towed motorbike.

We went there in the Motorhome, plenty of room in the car park for day parking, and then travelled on. Its good but not particularly big unless there is an event on.

Hi Bobnick, I lived in the area for many years and there are no sites available, to my knowledge, within walking distance of Brooklands, However, there is a CL/CS near Worplesdon train station, a working farm, toilet, shower, disposal area etc. Train station is a 5 minute walk. There you can get a train to either New Haw or Weybridge stations, then a walk to the museum.

Maybe gives you another possibility?

Just to mention, i am not and have no desire at the mo to join any of the C clubs. I do know that some club sites allow non members on (at an additional cost of course)
Many thanks for your suggestions anyway.

S4S are showing a pub stop at Chertsey, Twynersh Hungry Horse. Nice big car park .

I didn't know that but it is just down the road from Thorpe Park and close to the M25 so would expect it to be busy and noisy (if your not used to traffic noise)???
