I used to love this site, a tad expensive espscially as I never need EHU , but worked for me, the location, (even with the road or train noise) the great little pub 5 mins away (the valentine), northwales coastal path 3 mins walk down the hill with a river and car park you could sit in your van all day or cycle miles in either direction, and the best views. Ive stayed here more times than I can count.
It got taken over a couple of years ago, and a few things changed that got me thinking oh dear, so I sort of went off, it, the friendly style went out of the visits.
I just decided to try it again this weekend and now this post on the website "Insurance policy must be take out in the event of not being able to turn up", seems similar to the erm..... arrogant style this park has now taken on (my opinion obvs) ....and the "continental" part ...lots of Mhs dont even know what continetal means, I certainly didnt at first.
It isnt owned by a large group, just a local guy, so also cant understand why...when it is a "pitch" that they can't move someones pitch to another date if they have unforseen circumstances etc etc, especially in winter when its almost empty. It isnt as if its a product they are buying in and trying to sell on before it expires....its a pitch for gods sake, and they are only ever full at BH and summer hols.
Id imagine more customers would never go back if the no switch dates policy was non negotiable and they lost all the money. ? does it make business sense? am I missing something...?
Deposit, yes maybe, to stop double bookers etc, but I dunno. its lost that.....touch for me.
Rhuallt country park will be getting my money these next weekends
