Me again. Right at the point of doing sums on the Le Voyager.
Are brokers the sort of people you can haggle with. Thinking of putting in a low offer

I would have thought that the broker would put forward your offer to the owner who'd make the decision whether or not to accept.

Got to be a bit like buying a house. Put your offer in and wait and see. Depends how desperate they are and how long it’s been for sale. To low and they may just laugh and not be willing to negotiate. Reasonable offer and you may get some interest in negotiating.

Why not try. They can only say no. Or yes!

Yes you can deal with them,
But they tend to have a limit that they can agree to, or if lower than that take that offer to rather seller on your behalf. I chose to do deal face to face with broker, and owner at the same time, that way they could discuss who got what.

I then put provisos that offer was based on checks all be ok. Then I knocked money off for what was required.
