Our TV aerial on our 1998 Autosleeper Symphony got broken by a low branch recently - we would like to remove it and fit a cover as we don't watch tv in the van. Any suggestions as to how we do this? Autosleeper will do it but with driving there and getting it done it will cost over £100, which after a month abroad we are reluctant to spend. However, we are worried that water will get through the yards of duct tape holding it together.

Many thanks

better to have it replaced you will not want to keep the van for ever and buyer will expect an antenna.

Quick fix, cut out the side of a plastic box a little bit bigger than the hole. Clean down the glass around the area and then stick the plastic sheet down with some silicon bathroom sealant. That should keep you dry until you can get the hole glassed in.

Disconect the arial cable inside the power booster, remove broken arial pull out the cable you disconected along with the arial
Fit one of Link Removedin its place using sikaflex sealant, and the screws.

Your local caravan shop will have all you need, if you decide to replace the broken item, it comes with a short lead, just reverse removal instructions:thumb:
