Have you seen the pizza restaurant in Huelgoat (if it's still there!) that sells pizzas named after famous footballers? My favourite was the Chris Waddle!

We are at Etel at the moment. Plenty of vans at La Falaise but lots of room left. We always like it here although on paper it's nothing special, it's just nice.

Hi @BobtheBass , we are up the coast a bit from you at Guidel plages aire about a mile an a half south of Guidel ,free no services

, very blowy but at least the rain has stopped.
Photo's of beach and rugged coast across the road from us

I could believe how many people in swimming or bathing , as I had a job just standing up on the roadside near cliff edge , really windy !!!

Moved inland as too breesy and drizzly , on the coast, to Malestroit aire free with services just around the corner , next to a river/canal very busy about 20 here but room for 30,

Blooming cold last night and this morn , didn't put heater on as quite low on gas , still long time to go , eleven days still to go, don't think I brought enough , one bottle ran out first day , but hey Ho worse things happen at sea.

Now Campeneac aire free by a nice small lake / pond,
Weather cheered up after very fresh start to the day ,now bright and sunny , just had BBQ ,to save moho's gas. , lovely sat outside in the sunshine.

Sorry should have said before no services at Campeneac aire only one Turkish toilet , there are services payable up in the village behind the church..

Now arrived at Guichen / Pont Réan aire, lovely only 8 places , well today only 7 as a disabled car parked in the last spot. Not free it's 6 euro's incl 's water and toilet and waste dump.
Lovely canalside spot , right by canoe hire , boulangerie 100 yds by the bridge.
Poor signal here more photos when we get better reception.

Not sure if river or canal as signed as river La Vilaine but just the other side of bridge is a lock also 300 yds that side is a lovely fishing lake sorry no photos

Now at Pouance aire not free I think it's 5 euro's but will find out when the lady comes around, incl's ehu +usual water etc, but for water you need a double female connector and when you push it in water immediately shoots out so be careful , I always connect hose etc to the female and double up the hose to stop the water coming out. Room for 6 may be 7 most need levellers
2 photos of actual aire and 2 of photos from the aire towards the lake and parkland , really nice here but a bit remote , 30 min walk to town /village for bread , so you need to come prepared and we'll stocked

Can't promise about sunshine , currently 30 degrees very hot ,
we decided as Pouance is a V nice aire and currently free with ehu , we would stay a couple or poss 3 nights .While we have good position and more of that SUN!!!
Enjoy when you get over here, and have a safe trip.

Parking is free but the services up behind the church is payable.
Last year in June they had a free music festival up in the village , closed most of the roads and had 8 or nine groups of musicians of all types of music , they had several food
stalls ,and 4 different stages dotted around the village

Why the obsession with free aires and not choosing places you have researched and would like to visit ?

Oh dear me...

I agree that you often come across a great place by accident but wandering aimlessly with the sole purpose of looking for free aires seems very odd to me but everyone to their own

More misunderstandings, I should of said at Pont Réan.

Lady came round and collected when we were there , gave official receipt , nice place , last time here was on a Sunday and we had cooked chicken/ poulet and roast potatoes which were done in garlic and herbs from a local mobile vendor, lovely Sunday roast.

Moved on today , tried the aire at Change , nice aire by a lake , but closed this weekend for running event , marathon and 10 K.
So decided to go to another favourite , at St Denis sur Sarthon, not a camping car aire just a village aire by a large pond , boule pitch + nice small park. No services to speak of but there is a toilet of sorts . We were first to arrive at 14.30 and with in 20 mins 3 others arrived , just like buses.

Stayed at the Change Aire last year, nice walk along the river to Lavel.

Today at another of my favourites, Mortagne au Perche, free
Met up with Gary alias @Just smiffy on the next pitch had a nice chat , sun shining , what more could you want.
Pitches over look nice fishing lake (7 euro's a day ticket)
Also an expensive restuarant ,quite busy about 20 cars for Sunday lunch.
