On my way back from Bilbao on the Cap Finistere

Delayed departure, was getting worried as the holding area emptied. I only had 3 MHs behind me and all other vehicles but a couple of trucks had boarded.

We all got on - just

It turned out that an extra 150 passengers from the Pont Aven had been found space(y)

There must be so many having to travel through France as a result of the fire on the PA....just glad I'm not one(y)

Anyone here affected?

We are on our way up through France at the moment, our route is via Pau, Bergerac, limoge, and on, France is really nice @50mph, the weather is great and everything looks rosy:D Then we had to fill up:cry::eek:. Never mind, less for the Kids

We've been held waiting before. It's nerve-wracking when you are in the last few, they've not boarded anyone else for 20 minutes and the engines have started.

Last time, we just made it on and the ship had unbirthed before we'd properly secured the van!

Exactly what happened to me, waiting 45 minutes after scheduled departure time....just glad to get on though(y)

We are due to depart Santander on the 6th, BF still taking bookings for the sailing so fingers crossed!

Someone reported yesterday that their sailing from Portsmouth cancelled and they were given a refund plus £165 and a sailing to Caen I think.

We are on the 4th May sailing Santander to Portsmouth on the cap didn’t know they had one on the 6th

No problem they will just go using the one engine, if that fails halfway across Biscay then

Definitely cancelled now, PA out until the 12th may!

We were due to travel to Santander on the 7th.
Now cancelled (it's not immediately apparent perhaps, check your actual booking under 'manage my booking')

We have rebooked onto Portsmouth to Caen, same day.

We will get the reported £165 travelling allowance , plus a refund on the cost difference, which is considerable.

I did read somewhere else on here that the £165 equates to about 25mpg at £1.40/litre.

Now trying to decide to do our trip in reverse and sail back from Santander or maybe Bilbao or just loop through France and back to the North coast.

We’re booked on the PA from Santander on 24th June. Even the French would have sorted something out by then I hope, whether the same ship or a replacement.
