Just planning our next trip after Lincoln, which will be Spain about the second week in January. I understand that there is a discount code I could use. Hope some one out there can help please.

We too are thinking about a direct sailing to Spain, so if anyone has a discount code they are prepared to share, it would be much appreciated. Fingers crossed for the testing faff to be improved!

Code received but BF website is malfunctioning, just hanging. It's retaining the details of the proposed booking, and has accepted my data to start to create an account, but it then just becomes comatose, failing to either create an account or rejecting my application. Spent over an hour watching those dots go round in circles ,,, No idea what the discounted price will be!

Just ring them , I’ve found them to be okay the old fashioned way and you get to speak to someone who’s first language is English which can be useful. And if that sounds racist that is not my intention or outlook.
 
Not getting very far with the Booking. Website via laptop just hanging in suspended animation, whilst phone is a little less worse [rather than better] but still won't generate an account for me, although it is picking up bits and pieces of personal data that I entered when trying to create an account!

I suspect that it is a BF Website problem, but I wonder whether a Funster could send me their code for me to check that there isnot a problem with the version that Carolyn kindly provided.

Just clicked on 'BF' website! But another Funster has sent me a much needed Idiot's Guide on a step by step basis that clarifies that I do not need to set up an account [despite BF asking me to sign in or create an account!], so that has possibly solved the 'suspended animation' problem.And the Discount Code doesn't need to be entered into the Box designated 'Voucher Code' either ... It seems to need entered in the Box for existing Members, which I am not, so I didn't try to enter the Discount Code in the Existing Member box, because the 'system' [if such it is] was prompting me to register my own account ....

One of those 'systems' where, once you have worked out what the instructions really mean, you have no need to use them, especially as literally written ... Probably why the Coders chose to work in IT instead of in Communications

You should try working out how to view your membership area.

Another thing that’s annoying me.

I re-booked a crossing.

I had a crossing booked that cost £800. I had to amend It. BF charged me £535 and I had to email BF For my refund on the original £265. Otherwise it gets “forgotten” about and BF Keep the refund due (full flexi).

BUT ! The new £535 Crossing. If I go in to make a new booking, the very same crossing is only £415 !.

What a disgraceful way to treat loyal customers.
 
Thanks every body who helped me with code I needed. Ferry now booked for mid January. Can’t wait to get away again. Still we have Lincoln show to look forward to and meeting up with all our funster freinds.

In some ways I think the new site makes things a bit clearer , I’ve just had a practice run with my code after marchie problem’s yesterday. You enter the member’s code in the “guest” slot. It highlights that it is valid until a certain date which is the renewal date of the member. Most of us do renew but it will be worth “bookmarking” the date and perhaps sending a PM to the member and double checking that they have. If they haven’t then it gives you ample time to find another friend and add their details retrospectively.

In the past you might not find out until your balance was due and the price had gone up so it was a bit of a shock or you‘d panic and lose your discount.
