Going over to Cherbourg on ferry tomorrow for 10 days /.Will be stopping at Guilliers /Carnac /Dinnard areas and travelling around in car.Would appreciate interesting places to visit while there?

Gulf of Morbihan...think that's the right spelling. We just discovered it this year and loved it....

Port Louis, Josselyn, Pont Aven, Concarneau......

Résistance Muséum, Saint Marcel . + as mentioned above Port Louis, Pont Aven . Concarneau, Josselin.

Hi. Submarine pens.

Almost anywhere will be fine. The Rose Granit Coast in the north, Finisterre in the west and then all along the south coast. Lots of megalithic stuff too.

St Nazaire, location of “The Greatest Raid of All” otherwise know as Operation Chariot

We had a great day out at Dinan last week.

There is a massive field for motorhome parking and over-nighting that I have marked with the coloured arrow.

Take the steps up to the top of the ramparts as you come out of the carpark and then on into the old town, magical.

Sorry its Dinard were staying at.

Concarnau and Pont Aven definitely worth a visit. Nice Cathedral and Petit Tren in Quimper. Benodet is lovely and some good boat trips up the Odet or out to the coastal islands. Enjoy!

St pol de Leon lovely aire and walks around bay

Can I add my thanks to everyone as well as we are off to Brittany next week. Been a couple of times now but always more to see and Funsters recommendations well worth noting down.

We'll be there in October. :) We are leaving this Wednesday but plan to do a bit of Normandy first then perhaps a little further east and south before hitting the fleshpots of Brittany. :)

We're going over on Wednesday, 1450; Tuesday night at Canterbury P&R, then Weds overnight at Cite de L'Europe then heading west through Normandy & Brittany. May cross paths (y)

We visited a lake in Brittany this summer , Lac Guerledan which was lovely . There was an free aire at L’anse de Sordan , otherwise a basic campsite on that side of the lake run by a restaurant bar ‘Merlin les Pieds’.

As we were swimming , walking, cycling , paddle boarding it turned out to be a perfect spot.

I'll add my thanks as well as we're off to Brittany in 2 week's time (y)

Been making a note of places and checking them out on google maps.

The aire at St Andre des Eaux near Evran is nice, free services and pitch, leisure lake with imported beach and cafe bar. Nice walks and cycling, fishing etc.
Not far away at La messiere off the D137 on the way towards Rennes there are two large MH dealers, LDS Lousiers and Ypocamp ouest Evasion for any MH problems or spares.

Another nice aire is at Malestroit. A bit further South and West.
Beautiful, clean and tidy town with a large aire that will take about 70 to 80 vans.
Free to stay, but services elsewhere in the town, there are 3 Aires and its the one next to the canal that you want.
Again, lovely walks and cycling for miles along canals and river.
