Hello
We are going down to the Paddle round the Pier festival next weekend at Brighton, does anyone have any ideas for campsite or wild camping (preferrable). Have looked at the area in Hove where you can park up over night but I am thinking it may be getting cleared due to the festival so looking for other ideas. The Caravan site is full.
Any other recommendations?
Thanks
Viki

By the side of King Alfred Centre on the front can be a bit noisy as there is a bottle bank :Eeek:

We go to Brighton to see family at times and we've parked near the top of Madeira drive without any problems, just the boy racers and a few men peering in also on the aproach road to Shoreham docks we stayed there last year for four days without to much of a problem just a bit noisy on friday nights when we moved back up to madeira drive

The approach road to Sheepcote Valley campsite often has vans parked along it's edges. Noisy when the recycling lorries start in the early mornings, but then you get that when you pay to camp there too.

Never used it myself, I used to pay...

Hi. were at Brighton a few weeks ago and the field leading from Windsor Road to the campsite was full of gypsies.

I have heard that they have now moved off the field but are still in the locallity.

Thanks everyone, will be taking our chances once we get down there, campsites are full so will have to play it by ear!
Have printed off the thread for info.
Thanks again
