I believe the council allow overnighting one night in seven at any of their carparks:thumb:
I am sure you will get better places suggested but it's good to know in case you need to.

I know it's not relevant but we have just been to Brecon Jazz. Jazz fine but Brecon has to be the binge capitol of Wales. Blackpool without the tower. It was like a Policeman's ball with military police thrown in for good luck.

Stunning area.

From there we did Burry Port. £7 a night on the lifeboat site. Fantastic cycling.

Thank you. Didn't want to go there anyway wasn't sure that car parks were still ok. At least a good back up, thanks

Powys will allow motorhomes parking on most of their carparks civilised lot down in mid Wales.So think Brecon the promenade ,Builth wells right by the river,Rhayader town carpark ,great for local pubs ,with good food at fair prices.
Or wild in the Elan valley ,take valley road from Rhayader passed first dam take road for the Claerwen dam after a few miles large area on left with toilet close by . Having said that lots of wild spots just keep your eyes peeled

Even for those that are not into birds, the red kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm, half a mile south of Rhayader is an amazing spectacle, 100 kites or more right there in front of you.:thumb:

Try the A470 between Brecon and Merthyr, loads of wild camping spots along there and pretty impressive scenery too.
