I have used to date Autoaid as a breakdown service for motorbikes and cars (very good they are too) for years, but they don't cover campervans over 2.5 tonne. Can anyone recommend a good alternative that is on a similar par price wise?

We used Autoaid for quite a few years before we got our motorhome, then signed up with ADAC for the last ten years, until they stopped non EU membership last year. We were looking for new breakdown cover and the missus suggested Autoaid again. She got in touch with them and they said they would cover our motorhome no problem ? I'll have to ask her about it when she gets home after 3pm.

Autoaid are good but don’t do European so I had to change.
Give them a bell and clarify weight and vehicle length

We have been with Gem for years. They will attend any vehicle you are in but do not guarantee to recover big vehicles.

I use this. Covers all my 5 vehicles plus a level of travel insurance, medical cover, loss of possessions etc. and more at home and in Europe. All for £13 a month.

I shall look into Flexplus, but for info' Autoaid have written back and confirmed they will support our campervan assuming it doesn't exceed 3.5 tonne gvw. Which therefore is great for UK.

Talljohn, just got the Autoaid policy document up and it covers motorhomes up to 3.5 tons (see penultimate paragraph) but I've just realised our van turned 16 years old in March so will need to contact them and see if they will still cover it ?
