The door window seals on our van are dreadful. The seem quite hard. Is there any process that will clean and rejuvenate them or do I need to replace them?

The outer rubber is meant to be hard. The seals are on the inner edge. They can attract algae depending where you are parked, or if laid up for a while.

Wet them with a neutral mould and algae remover such as Wet & Forget. Pick a day when no rain is forecast for a few days, and that should clean them up.

All clean now. Vinegar an toothbrush to soften the gunge and then a careful scrape with a lino-cut tool to get the soil moss and lichen out. Finally a rinse with copious clean water and a medium brush. They look great.
