Boxer Euro 6 - Engine fan comes on while stone cold (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Just done our maiden voyage in our 2018 Boxer and noticed when I started it up first thing of a morning, before I pull away one of the fans keeps cutting inand out. It spins up for about five seconds and then before it has come to rest it starts spinning again. This seems to be continuous while stationary ev n though engine cold with no movement on temp gauge.

The fan on drivers side is stationary and aircon turned off.

I presume this to be an electrical faulty as I have only had fans cut in once an engine is at working temp not stone cold but just wanted to check in case they all do this.

It would seem that way especially as engines are wanted to get to working temp as quick as poss for emission purposes. They should only activate if above op temp. The aircon supplemental fan should only activate with aircon operating . So either faulty sensor , or in view of what its doing a software problem . JMHO
