On and off for many years.
I know lots of people have bought a tagine after a holiday and never used it but I thought it might make a useful addition to my motorhome equipment.

So far I have cooked a lamb dish with veggies and it was really tasty. I think we will be using it a lot! No need to use a lot of spices unless you want to, and it is a healthy way of cooking as the food is steamed rather than grilled or fried. It does take a long time to cook but uses the gas hob so it's like a gas powered slow cooker! You also need a heat diffuser. The lamb took around 2 hours on the lowest flame possible on our hob.

This is the one I bought - ideal for one or two people:

We use a Tagine along with a cast iron hob and grid from the Netherton Foundry. It cooks brilliantly and is very economical using either charcoal or BBQ briquettes. It will also sit happily on a fire bowl or a gas hob. Great for cooking outdoors.
