Hi, I am thinking of taking my Hobby 750 on the Ferry to Isle of Wight . It’s a 8 metre tag axle with about a 1.8 metre overhang from the back wheels and spare wheel underneath.
My question is, has anybody took a Hobby 750 or similar motorhome over with any issues or problems up and down the ramps , because I saw a caravan scrape it’s back end on the Lymington Ferry. What would be the best route and Ferry company to use ?
Thanks Pete.

The ferry loaders should be able to manage the situation. As long as you indicate your concern and approach the boarding slowly, they will, if necessary, place planks under your wheels to raise the back end as required.

Just make sure that you stay in control and don’t feel pressured into a manoeuvre that you’re uncomfortable with.
