I have a standard Sky wireless router but we have dead spots all over the house where the signal is so crap it cant be used.

Ive tried the tin foil trick which helped a bit but how do I get better wifi reception round the house? Do I need more kit or a booster of some kind??

All help as always appreciated :thumb:

Never heard of having dead spots with wifi - you can boost your speed by snipping the bell wire, but i cannot see how that would improve your reception.

Hopefully an expert will be along soon that can advise. Have you looked into aerial extensions? I know you can get them for dongles - it may be possible to wire to your router.

I will go off and have a surf and see if anyone else has had this problem! I know a friend uses overclockers website, and they are quite geekish in there when it comes to technology.
