Well after the last minute dash to collect new passport and my last minute sudden and urgent hospital referral out the way, today's the day to leave these frozen shores and head to the balmy locale of Bonterra Resort, Benicassi for our 90 days away in Euroland. Quick stop this afternoon to pick up AHC for Martha the Cockapoo from the excellent Abbeywell Vets in Folkestone then 2 overnights down and we're there. Seems like it's been a long time coming.

Have a lovely trip. We bought a eu passport for our cavapoo last year with a 3 year rabies jab from Pets world la zenia. Highly recommended. We’ve since used it twice with no problems. It would save you getting a EHC again.

Yes, having done the route from Calais & Zeebrugge many times I couldn’t do it in the MH that quickly. We like Bonterra Park so enjoy you lucky devils.

When we lived in Los Alcazares on the Mar Menor in Murcia and travelled home with our cat in the car, due to the rules, we would travel right up to Biarritz or Bordeaux area on day one then hotel for night. Day two we’d get to Calais area and overnight again for an early morning train to get up to East Yorkshire the next day. That was adhereing to the speed limits, motorway all the way and both driving. Glad we don’t do that now.

0320 train tomorrow, just south of Limoges first stop then 12km from Spanish border 2nd stop then Bonterra. 2 drivers.. no sweat. Route via Paris, well almostish straight down

Yes, we like it there. I know weather might be a couple of degrees warmer further south but each to their own.... huge dog friendly beach amongst other attractions. And thanks

Vet we have used before in Benicassim has confirmed a passport no problem but thanks anyway

If you pitch towards the top end at Bontera ask for the key card for the gate to cycle path.

Have a great time, we love it there, do they allow dogs on the beaches in winter, had no dogs all along to past the town last time we were there. Friends left because they asked where the dog s were allowed and were told nowhere. Didn't stop the dogs though.

We got a passport for our Cocker Spaniel a few days ago at Benivet in Benicàssim. €70 including 3 year rabies jab.

Coming from ‘up north, we got our AHC from Dales Veterinary Practice in Otley for £82. They were wonderful to deal with, feel bad we won’t be going back now we have a passport.

Thought so. It’s been sunny today, just bloody cold. Lol

Taking ferry to Santander next week. Beni first for 2 weeks then to Bonterra 3rd Jan for a week before heading for ferry again.
