Bonnet leaking

Hi has anyone with a Pilote A class had problems with the bonnet not closing properly, mine doesn't seal properly against a rubber seal, so leaks water into the engine. Most other makes of Motorhome have a scuttle or gutter that catches the water as it comes of the window screen, but not the g740fc.
If anyone can help it would be great.

Do the hinges move freely.
If they are rusted/corroded or just tight they will deform the edge of the hole and/or the bonnet panel and cause it not to fit properly.
