Has anyone had a email from boatmail to say they are changing their address and sold the company?
I'm not sure it's a scam email. The email delivery is from a different source than normal so I'm wary.
They reopen today but I was sent the email early yesterday.
I enquired through their normal source and the stock reply came back that they were closed until the 2nd

maybe best to contact them direct through their website and not the 'maybe dodgy' email you received, or phone them to ask..:)

I had it too. Seems it may have come from the new chap instead of John.
No reason to believe it's a scam, but nothing on the website yet. Will watch this space and change things when it's confirmed.

The security details on the new email doesn't show the same details as my old email from John. That's the reason for the concern plus the website doesn't mention it.

I sent an email to John on his old email address and the new owner replied saying that I am right to be careful in checking this out.
I phoned the number as the mail said the number would be the same and an answering message saying this number is no longer available.
I'm not sure whether to start changing addresses..
I Google the new address and it just omes up with houses for sale in that area.

But who is the new owner? Hopefully they will unmask themselves soon. :) But many thanks for reminding me about this service. We don't need it now but who knows for the future? :)

This is the email I received from him.

    Trish

Thank you for your email and yes it always good to check these things out.

John has "retired" and I have purchased the business from him as of the start of 2018. All things will remain the same as before except for the need to update your contacts with the new Gloucester address. John will forward any mail from the Leighton Buzzard address probably until around the end of February or early March. Hopefully by then all changes will have been made.

I look forward to providing you with your mail forwarding needs.

    Kind regards

    Glenn
