Also known as a 'Coulomb counter' because it counts the Amps in/out over time.
Electric Charge is measured in amp-hours, which is the total amount of electric charge that flows when a current of 1 amp flows for 1 hour.

The amount of charge that flows when a current of 1 amp flows for 1 second is an amp-second, which is called a Coulomb. That's the official unit of electric charge used in scientific circles.

The practical unit of electric charge is the amp-hour, which is 3600 amp-seconds. So one amp-hour is 3600 Coulombs
