As above, looking for recommendations for a Bluetooth speaker for the motorhome.
Will be used for playing radio and music from our iPhones/iPads.
Our Bose Soundlink that we have had for a number of years is really playing up charging.
Dont want anything large, the smaller the better. Good quality sound and USB chargeable.
Thanks
Graham

Anker soundcore mini. Tiny but If you put it on something thin like the draining board it produces bass 🤩

We use a ”boom” really good sound and Bluetooth connection.
In fact it was a present from two of my sons for the home, sound so good I stripped out the wiring to the four speakers ( old fashioned or what?)
Can‘t fault it!

Replacement batteries are available and very easy to fit. You can even get batteries with a greater ah Than the originals.

Given the price of Bose gear, I’d be minded to see if your current one can be repaired. Here is a link to ifixit manual. Has detailed guides to repair.
We have two bluetooth speakers: an old Cambridge Audio and a Bose Revolve 1. Both sound very good and if either started playing up, I’d look at a repair.

Have a Marshall embleton in the office and it’s brilliant. Great sound quality.

Also have a Bose soundlink in the motorhome which is very good. Think overall the Marshall is better though.

We mostly just flip the Sony dash radio to hab power and use that for bluetooth. I've added sound insulation and upgraded the speakers, which helps! On the rare occasion we want to hear the music outside, we do have an DOSS E-go II. Sound is pretty good, not far off my brother's Ultimate Ears boom, just not as loud.

I'd recommend another Bose, I've just bought a new waterproof one for the bathroom and I'll be ordering the same one for the van.

Ultimate Ears are waterproof.

You pays your money and takes your choice.

Me I went for a "Juice Melody Eco Bluetooth Speaker" from Tesco. It's RRP was £10, but when I got it it was on a clubcard deal at £8, with the wifes staff discount (it was a bonus weekend as well) I ended up paying £6.40. I'm no sound afficionado but it sounds OK to me and does what I want.

Thanks but it’s the Jack plug socket that’s problematic. Only seems to connect in certain positions so we are going to keep it but use it at home.

I'm on my second Bose Mini Soundlink. I kept the first one for spares, unfortunately not the batteries though.
I've not heard a BT speaker that sounds better size for size.

Thanks f or the link. I have tried to strip it down to get to the circuit board where the Jack plug is that’s faulty but I’m pretty sure ai will cause more damage accessing it.

The jack plug socket is for line in, nothing to do with charging.

We bought a Sony SRS-XB01 waterproof speaker a few months ago (from Amazon). We wanted something very small and portable, because of limited storage space. We use it with our iPhones/iPads, and we’re happy with it. It looks like it’s been superseded by the SRS-XB13.

I was given one of those as a freebie when I bought tyres one time. Very good for the size, but the bigger Soundcore does have a much better sound and is still pretty small.

Bose every time for me.

Had a SoundLink Revolve Bluetooth portable speaker for a few years now and can’t fault it - excellent sound, rechargeable battery life, connectivity, waterproof, etc.

It’s where my charger has plugged in for the last eight years. 👍
and says 17-20v 1amp on it.
My terminology may be incorrect but I know what I mean 😂
Ah, my apologies, I was getting the Soundlink and Soundlink Mini 2 mixed up. 🥺
