van conversion
We have just received our new Hymer Blue Evolution van. Unfortunately the Satnav is driving us crazy. Firstly it regularly freezes and in order to reset it we have to pull over and restart the engine which can be very inconvenient. Secondly every time we set it to miles instead of km it reverts whenever the engine is restarted. It has been suggested on Facebook that we remove the SD card and reprogramme but we don't seem to have an SD card. Any suggestions please?

Sorry, l can’t be of help either, but we were looking to potentially purchase this model so l would be very interested in your views once you have the opportunity to use it for a while.

Regards Neil

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but have you asked the dealer to help ? Other than that there should be an owners group where someone may help.

Best of luck.

I’ve been to view the vehicle at various dealerships and all were very helpful, however my intention was ask the option of someone who had actually owned this particular model as it is relatively new to the market.

We are very pleased with Blue Evolution and have so far spent 6 nights in it.
Pros:
We were worried that the bed would be small but actually it is fine as you can use the whole width. My husband is 6ft 1in and it's ok.
The lighting is brilliant.
There is plenty of storage - another thing that had concerned us.
The bathroom works well although we haven't used the shower.
It's easy to park anywhere as long as there is no height restriction.
Cooking is ok as you can use the table extension for extra space.
We have a pop top which we haven't used but the bed up there is big.
We haven't tried the heating but water heats well.

Cons:
It's noisy when driving but we have never driven a van before and our road surfaces are terrible.
The satnav unit seems old fashioned and temperamental.
In the dark evenings it's not that comfortable as there isn't really a 'lounging' space but we're working on removing the table to see if that feels better.
It's difficult for the inside person to get out of bed if the other person is asleep but we knew that.

Hope that's helpful.
Warning. If you open the side door and the window by the bed is open you'll break it. There is a small sticker - easy to miss.

Thanks for the review, it’s always good to hear first hand experiences.
