Just calculated what this van we have rented is doing MPG wise...........18.
Got to ease off the gas and get it to 20+
Good job it's only just over a £1 p/l here.

Wow! What's under the bonnet, a V8? 😱

We accept the measured mileage and the fuel litres as dispenced at the pump and do the maths. We drive mostly to the legal speed limits.
Two trips to Liverpool from the south coast. 24MPG just the van. (70MPH)
23 MPG when towing a 750kg box trailer (60 MPH)

Tow vehicle Hymer MLI540. Merc V6 3 litre and auto box.

Merc V6 3 Litre Auto 18mpg is pretty good. We had one in a Winnebago LWB Sprinter base and never did better that that but at £1 a litre you shouldn't be complaining. I dare say you can do better than that but you will soon get pissed off travelling long distances at 50mph. Really nice engine until it goes wrong and you see how much Mercedes can charge.

I am reliably informed by an Ozzie that if you chose to go around Australia the wrong way on their A1 which circumnavigates, you would use two tankfulls more in fuel, such is the distance and the prevailing winds.

While it's not illegal to wear thongs while driving, or in fact wear high heels or go barefoot, you could still cop a $448 in New South Wales if the police deem you to have insufficient control over the vehicle.24 Jan 2020

Hope that doesn't mean I've got to buy a thong if I go to Aus.

I thought a 'thong' was a mini bikini/panties worn by a woman which only had a string bit up the a*se section.

So what the hell does that have to do with pedal control?

Unless you let the male imagination run riot?

The Aussie wierdos refer to flip flops as thongs.

Lot's of different words in Oz
Thong for flipflop
Durex for sellotape
Coon for cheese

Billy - not a person, a kettle
Blue - not a colour but a fight

Hotel - not a place to stay/sleep but a pub
