I have been having problems with the print head on my old canon printer as i had allowed the ink to dry out which partly blocked the head, which is separate from the ink cassettes.
I have tried using the ink cleaner that comes with the refill packs but it just wouldn't clean it fully so as a last resort before putting it in the bin i read on the net that someone had used boiling water well what can i tell you it really does work. it has cleaned them and it prints like new, so that saved me a few quid. see the link below for cleaning suggestions
Just in case it blocks again what is the best printer/scanner combination that i can refill the cartridges easily, all suggestions welcome
