After programming the GPS with all our settings whilst the engine is switched off, they all seem to be lost if we switch the engine off at a later stage in the journey and we have to start again from scratch - very annoying! Does anyone know how to save the settings. We have RTFM but it doesn't help. Thanks.

Do you also lose your radio presets, etc?
If so, you may not have a permanent live to the unit.

Will check this, but we've just remembered that we've also lost DAB radio.

Yep two live supply. One switching and one permanent live to maintain the memory.
