Off to the Black Forest in Germany in a couple of weeks time, does anyone have any suggestions on an intersting route, places to visit or some not to expensive campsites on route and or in the region
We stayed at a lovely stellplatz at Unterkirnach which is North of Villingen. It cost 9 euros a day (2 years ago) but that included water and electricity. Also included was free entry into the swimming baths, a short walk away, AND free travel on the buses and the trains. It also provided a discount at the local pizzeria!!! The staff in the tourist info centre (daily fee paid here) were really pleasant and helpful. The area has lots of walks and cycle paths although some can be rather steep. Good eating (and drinking) places on some of the walks which are marked on the walk leaflets from the TO. Supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi etc) and petrol stations easily accessible as you enter Villingen.
Bad Krozingen stellplatz. 14 euros per night including water and electric. Free entry to thermal baths and free transport I Black Forest area. Nice little town.
