We are about to set off from Scotland down to the west country and are thinking of breaking our journey to visit the Black Country Museum near Dudley. Any Funsters got recommendations of where best to stay nearby? There seems to be a dearth of options!

There's a C & CC site at Romsley, near Halesowen. (Lovely location near the village I grew up in)

About 8 miles to the museum from there.

What type of stop over do you want ? Campsite ? CL ?
As your coming down the M6, maybe stay just north a bit ie Staffordshire and drive into the museum next day... Let me know and I can advise what is local to us here JN 12 on M6.

Hi all, We don't mind wilding in the wilds of Scotland but would feel better on a CL in a more congested area! I have been looking at the CL's in Cheshire/Staffs near the M6 to nip down in the morning.Any favourites?
