Bitten to F

Heat a teaspoon up in a cup of boiling water and apply it direct to the bite, you can 'hover' the spoon over the bite until you can stand the temperature, but the hotter the better, the relief is almost instant and lasts a few hours.
The Beurer Bite X insect Bite Healer mentioned in previous posts is an electronic, more controlled version of this method of bite itch relief.

For prevention Avon skin so soft, the active ingredient is Citronellol.
For treatment I use after bite active ingredient is Amonia 3.5% w/w

In Thailand they use Tiger Balm on bites.

I have used a flextail device in the past and it seemed to help

Also, the Beurer does help for those nasty itchy bites that you just wanna scratch !

I’m a beekeeper and carry one of those in my bee suit. Seems to work very well, but I find that I have to use it every few minutes after a sting (so, many times in a short period) to neutralise the venom.
I think the heat pens are only effective soon after the bite or sting. The heat breaks down the poison before it disperses. After the poison has dispersed into the tissue, the pen is much less effective. If you don’t have a pen, you can heat a teaspoon with some near boiling water and carefully apply the rear of the hot spoon to the bite/sting. Hold the spoon for 20 seconds. Be careful and don’t burn yourself but the spoon needs to be hot enough to break down the poison.

Another vote for Avon skin so soft for prevention. Was told about it by chap who spent time a lot of time on exercise all over the globe. Good enough for the military so good enough for me!

They changed the formula though so doesn't work any more for me.
