We think it is a Chiff Chaff?
Or a Willow Warbler. Very difficult to tell apart - have you heard it sing? If so, what sort of sound?
it was singing focups put the kettle on and saying look no knickers
Haven't heard it sing as yet. It is VERY busy in the hedgerow next to our van. That is the only pic I have cos the inconsiderate sod won't keep still.
Could be a Chif-Chaf... but a scruffy one at that..
This is the singing/noise they make.. = [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSsdCE06BRk&feature=related[/ame]
Might give you some pointers if you get a good look at it
it could even be a scraggy......." Lesser Whitethroat"....
In general, chiffchaffs have black legs while willow warblers have pink legs. HTH
It`s a sparrer:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:
Bill looks to stout for Willow/Chiff body plumage colour also a bit wrong but this could be camera angle/ lighting, I'd go for immature Common Whitethroat
Difficult to be certain..............it's most likely an adult chiffchaff in moult
