Had to take a short drive to collect medication etc.... So called into MH compound and worked on laptop from there today.
On rear right wheel I found this nest.... Mouse or bird do you think? No damage or sign of anything inside thankfully.

It is big , I am thinking maybe squirrel , but realistically probably a mouse, but very exposed for a mouse I would think ?

My guess would be a Blackbird. They have a reputation for nesting in vehicles and the long strands look typical. But the nest wasn't finished I think so it will rebuild. Check the other wheel arches! :)

We had a mouse problem last year and got one of these cameras in the link below when on offer for about £35.00 and it works really well as only starts recording video or taking photos when something triggers the sensor and works on batteries so easy to set up.

Definately not mice, much too big for a robin so I`d go with blackbird.
Might be worth getting some correx and cutting to shape to go in wheel arches.
If you don`t know, correx is flooring protector builders use, think corrugated cardboard but plastic and more durable.
B&Q or builders merchants sell it about a tener for 8`x4` sheet

Blackbird?

What a privilege to be able to provide our feathered friends with the venue for producing the next generation! Nice one. Respect.

Bit more expensive now but convinced me. Now i can catch the bloody owl at night and the even bigger offender the badger digging up my lawn. Cheers

I'd guess rodent, as the entry and exit holes seem to be at the rear of the wheel. Plenty to climb up on. A bird wouldn't need to fly under the vehicle and jump onto your track rod arm.

Looks like mouse to me ,could be worse might have been inside , check your wiring in engine bay and air filter haven’t been chewed, look for droppings . I found two in my tool box in the garage at home don’t know why. They picked there as it’s full to the brim
