On the inside of our habitation door on our Bessacarr E560 there is a contraption which I think might of been a poor excuse for a bin.

I would like to use it as a bin as it's hidden . But the problem is there is no way to secure a bin bag / liner to the inside of it..
Do you get special bin bags for these ? If indeed that is what it's meant to be ?

It might be for slippers so you don't walk wet grassy shoes inside. . But don't know. None of my bin bags fit any of my bins .. they look scruffy with overhang .

That's like ours, we sort of balance a bag in it but put a few things in it and it collapses, useless it is!
I have bought a carrier bag bin holder from the £ shop and hang it on the cooker, it's out of the way anyway.

We use a bulldog style clip on ours to keep the liner in, works a treat.

a useless piece of junk in my opinion. put weight in it and it falls off the door. shut the door too hard and it falls off the door. on our last van, we relegated the door bin to holding spare dog leads and poo bags

... and if the weather's really foul and you forget, and try to close the door while you've still got one foot on the bottom step ...

We have an E560 but it's a 2008 model and the bin design is different, so maybe they do learn from their mistakes.

it looks like there should be an elastic strap around the front. There's a bit of a lip there. Are there a couple of holes towards the back that could take a piece of elastic cord?

We have exactly the same in our AutoTrail Savannah 2010.

Absolute waste of space and good for nothing!

I asked about a door bin for the Hymer and was told £88 +vat.. Noway but I will find something to go there as a waste bin is an absolute necessity in a MH.

I think it was Ikea that my sister bought a bin from that fixes on the inside of the door under her sink at home. far more robust and takes a carrier bag size bag. cheaper than anything with motorhome/caravan/leisure in its name

Got one in my Chausson 515, doesn't look dissimilar

Makes it nigh on impossible to leave shoes on the step, and it can cost a fortune if you slam the door with the fly/mozzie screen in place (just destroys it)

We just put a carrier bag in it with the rubbish in, pretty much useless

In our AutoTrail the locker to put the full size table in had a handle on which we can hang a plastic bag with the draw tight loops so that is our waste bin - a roll of IKEA draw string bin liners! - Sorted!:D:D:D

We have one in the Autotrail. Miles too small to be of use.. We use it to store all the doggy treats nowadays.. and before we had a dog all sorts of other odds and sods
