Catching up watching Coldplay at Beeb on iPlayer first (now), whilst recording The Big Yin on C5+1 to watch next. Looking forward to a few laughs later….

IMO there are two Billy Connelly's. pre Pamela and Post Pamela.
In the very early days he was absolutely hilarious but you had to have a stomach for his crudeness and sometimes tipsy perfomances when he was doing the rounds of the pubs and clubs.
Pamela took him under her wing and tamed him some what, got him off the drink and cleaned up his act
HOWEVER did not stop him being just as hilarious as before..
Love Him 👍👍

Surprisingly deep and meaningful lyrics behind such an unforgettable and tuneful melody. Wonderful!

50 years ago in Scotland someone put an LP on and I sat on the floor between two speakers, his accent was so strong I could only understand about 50% of what he was saying but I couldn’t stop laughing, as he became more known he definitely toned down his accent to be more understandable.

An Audience with Billy Connelly has to be the funniest of all his shows, as the audience is full of well know show biz people and comics inc Jimmy Tarbuck, and his biggest fan Michael Parkinson.
He has them wetting their pants, plus us of course, tears of non stop laughter, check it out below, best 50 mins of laughter ever.
Fact: regular viewings of Billy Connelly is being recommended for people suffering with depression by Psychiatrist's all over the world. (y)

Lots but slow learner.
Billy - nice guy too. Hasn't let celebrity nor money go to his head.
I saw a different side to him when he came to Dubai, twice to do shows. I did his stages for him. One of his shows he walked off because there were to many flying insects around. Dissapointed a lot of people especially as it was a charity event at The Dubai Country Club.
We will all have our opinions of given people.

if you came to our country to entertain us & left the stage due to our flying insects I wouldn’t bad mouth you , few people would get eaten alive even for charity, billy has always been generous with his time , if he walked off stage he had good reason , a more humble person you will not meet

Years ago, he was a guest on a show paying tribute to Elton John, he said "Oh aye, me an' Elton go back a long way, I even remember when he used to be bald !" 🤭
