Bilbao to the Med and back via Mimmizan (1 Viewer)

Hi
We are leaving in 10 days time for a long trip we have a ferry booked to Bilbao and we are looking for help with the route also it's my wife's birthday whilst we are off so any advise on a really good Spa Hotel around the Med would be much appreciated.

We tend to like peace and quite preferably on small sites that are on the beach and take a dog any suggestions help and advise greatly appreciated.

We drove tothe Med from Bilbao a few years back.

We spent the first night at a decent enough site at Navarette and then took the toll road straight to Spain.

Nice scenery and empty roads.

Can't recommend a spa but I have stayed at a lovely parador at Aigua Blava which takes some beating.

Hi nice Quiet village small town near Amposta called Ampolla small campsite just out of town run by English couple (2011) out the gate and trip on the kerb you are ion the beach beautiful place with lots to see poss. a spa but don't know for definite

We went via Zaragoza which is a nice city, there is a municiple campsite there which is good and only opened a few of years ago.

Haro is also a really nice town not too far from Bilbao only about 1 hour, in the Rioja region. Excellent food and wine. If you dont get much sleep on the ferry this could be a good chill out stop.

You can walk into town from the campsite.
