Getting the ferry Tue morning. Was thinking about staying at port Mon night. Reviews arnt to good. Has any one overnighted there.

We stayed at camper site overlooking the city €15 including ehu and 20 minutes to the port.
I would think that the port itself would be noisy and busy.

No problem, there will be another 100 vehicles doing the same, Motorhomes,Caravan’s and the hardy souls that sleep in the Cars, safety in numbers and it’s patrolled.Dont worry.

Ok thanks for the replies. Would prefer to stay at port just like to be every where early. Hate any last minute rush.

We stayed overnight and whilst there was a few people hoping to get a free lift to the UK we slept like a baby.

There was lots of security about and it was fairly quiet so had no problems at all.

I would have no problem of staying there again (y)

You can book in on the afternoon before you sail and proceed to the inner park.Toilets and wi fi available and cafe open early next day.Few immigrants about but lots of security..Been using it overnight for years.BUSBY.

+1, also worth staying over for a day or so to visit Bilbao - bus route from the site.

We’ve done it and we are really nervous nellies and slept well. Obviously you are awake quite early because it’s a port and people are up and about walking dogs so slamming doors etc but we’d do it again.
