hi....

Can anybody recommend a dog bike trailer suitable for a 14kg dog (cocker x )

Must be able to fold down for transport.

Having him run along side limits how far we can go.

TIA. Chris

We have just been sorting the same issue. We looked at lots of different trailers and ended up with the double child trailer from Halfords of all places. The reasons: it was surprisingly well made, folds easily, can be converted from trailer to pushchair in seconds with brakes and was cheaper than dog trailers as on offer at the moment at a bit over £100 complete. The downsides are it is quite large (our 17kg Collie has more than enough room to lay in it and we put a hardboard floor in it for her bed to rest on. Looked at the single child version as well but didn't think it was as good value for money and a little crude. Unfortunately due to her age it is the only option for when she gets tired out on her walks.

We just bought one for our Beagle. Not used it yet as it only came a couple of days ago, but it appears well made and folds flat, which is what we wanted. It was delivered from Germany to us in France but I think you can get them in the U.K. it got good reviews on Amazon.de
It’s from Happy Pet and suitable for dogs up to 40kg.
