Has anybody had any problems going onto ferries with a bike rack attached to a tow bar ball ? As I have heard that they ground out on the ramp especially if the motorhome has a bit of a overhang from rear axle ? .

I was concerned about this arriving in Ireland. I stopped and motioned to the ramp operator to adjust it for me.
The operator just shrugged and waved me on. I got out of the van, looked underneath and shook my head. I sat and waited. It only took a minute for someone from the ferry crew to point out to him the backlog of vehicles and to have a quiet word with the operator. He pulled his face and did a bit of pointing then adjusted the ramp angle to suit. The ramp crew were all smiles when I rolled forward under very close observation of the unloading crew.
