New - since August 2008
We're new to motorhoming and have had our 590PR about a month. We're keen to fit a bike rack and were thinking that the Fiamma Pro C would be the one to go for as it fits under the window - Link Removed but have now seen a Fiamma FM13 advertised in our local paper and are wondering if this would suit ok.

The FM13 is designed for a caravan Link Removed - would it also suit our motorhome?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks

4 and many as a tugger
The caravan rack uses a different fitting method than the Pro C. The pro C uses 4 mounting points where as the Caravan Rack has a bottom mount that fits onto a rail that is fitted to the Caravan and then the rack fits to this. If memory serves me right the top mounts are quite different as well. Try Johns Cross who have link on the right hand columb for a good price. I have a Pro C on a Autotrail Apache 700 and I can recomend it.

Be very carfull about bike racks on the back of a Swift, I had one on my last Swift and the weight of 2 bakes pulled the the backing plate clean through the back of the swift, if you do do it make the backing plates at least twice as big as the one supplied by rack supplyers.

Hi Cazd

I would reflect the post from doug to choose carefully the type of rack and fixings, on the pr, it has the large rear window, although the rear of the swift is quite strong this type of rack does put excess force on the rear wall below he window, if it was mine I would fit the pro as in mounts above and below the window.

The pro c would work, these are the best two racks to go for I would not fit anything else, try www.agentfiamma for the best prices.

I have no connection with them and do not know how good or bad thier service is but they are cheap.
