Big Sur & Epson printer problems (1 Viewer)

Since upgrading to Big Sur (MacOS 11.6) Epson Stylus Photo RX420 doesn't work. Found a newer printer file version (10.85) which is supposed to work. It comes up with printer dialog box but no "print" button. I can drag a file on to the printer icon which then prints graphics but no text. Mayday, Mayday, Mayday.

Are you using genuine Epson cartridges? Sometimes Epson uses upgrades as an opportunity to strangle down use of compatible cartridges.

Yes. The colour cartridges are low but not empty and the black is almost new.
