You could try Mike at No1Gear.com he specialises in older Talbot's and is very knowledgeable. He might be able to help or might know someone who can. Email is sales@no1gear.com
Hope this helps

most of my life. On and off.
Im too old and stupid so my children tell me , (my grandchildren only think it ) to work out who told me to go to mike chubb. However THANKYOU MY FRIEND. It has been awful having my darling monster off the road. I got my nearly new crancshaft yesterday and with a bit off luck I will be able to be frightening the london traffic again next week. Those of you who are MEN or like me are men whos partner lets them think they are in charge will understand that to have to drive about in a very yellow Fiat Punto (a woman or hairdressers car) Is shamefull. apart from the fact that I had to replace the head gasket twice and then replace the fuckin engine (am I allowed to say fuckin?).
I think Ive finished ranting now.
Whoever you are friend, the lovely human being who pointed me at Mike Chubb I THANK YOU.

Hey Lenny. Hey Busby,When we returned from Scotland we arrived at north London at about 6.30 A.M.
Being only a little bit mad. with as much common sense as I can muster I said.
"Ok girls we will have a kip an sort out the zone charge at about 9 or 10 A.M. (about a tenner)
My 14 year old grandaughter thought there was more chance of spotting a Lambourgini in the rush hour.
My grandaughter is naturaly the most important thing in my life. The sun shines from her bum. she is stunningly beautiful. Charming. Very intelligent. and I would without hesitation die for her. Like any normal grandad. She has to share her position with my other two grandaughters of course.
My partner used to think that I would hold a son dearer than a daughter because of my macho attitude.
before I had children I might have agreed. Now I have a brother and a sister. a female partner for life. Four daughters and three grandaughters.
If I die tomorrow I will die happy.
I have two nephews who gave me a great deal of joy when they were children. We camped out together. spat in the fire. used swear words and farted. It was a happy time to remember. Naturaly when puberty kicked in they developed other interests. GIRLS, Life the universe and everything. Far more important than camping out with uncle old fart. My sisters kids. Anyway traveling through central London in the rush hour cost me 65 quid.

Incidently My Fiat Ducato has had an engine change since it was new (not reflected in the paperwork)
I only became suspicious when I noticed the oil filler cap had Huille written on it.
I can only say. Thank God for this website. Oh and Enery8 You are my hero. If I can do any thing for you just ask because i love you. You gave me the tool to pull myself out of a dark place and I shall forever be in your debt. The engine is a Citroen two anna half litre turbo. I got a crancshaft yesterday an Im spending time here that I should be using on waking my baby monster up. BYEEEEE

most of my life. On and off.
Sorry folks Ive still to learn how to use a computer. I chose typing at school instead of technical drawing b ecause the class was almost all girls. I didnt want to be an architect. I wanted to be a dashing young rake, womanising and getting drunk. I also thought it was my duty to try and seduce every woman that said more than three words to me. I digress. as u can see in the pic I should change my site name from big end gone to crankshaft broke. Ive worked on motors most of my life on an off an Ive never seen that before. ANYWAY gotta wait a couple a days for new oil seals then its rebuild.
My friend Maf has helped me with every bit of this major project. Hes driven up from Basingstoke to spend hours, sometimes in the rain, slept in the camper. Because he is my friend. Ive slept in the camper because the engine hoist has £200 deposit on it. I reckon Im really lucky. Hey has anyone taken their camper round the Nurburg ring? Wouldnt that be a blast! The old woman is just beginning to accept my old sofa in the back of the monster. When I brought up the subject of a wood burner she said. Absolutely not!! Im going to act casual when she sees it installed. A bit difficult when your wearing body armour an a crash helmet.. LOOK. All of you lovely people really give me a lovely warm happy feeling of friends and company and Im gonna say Byeeeeee before i start to cryeeee, Just got to do my nail varnish got to get some dinner. I thought as the gas ran out last night I would have a bag of mini sausage rolls a tin of grapefruit pieces an my own Irish cream. A bottle of malt an a tub of cream. Its a sipping drink. My sister in law calls it Instant pissed. Anyway a good rounded diet. Ive written half a book!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all you lovely motorhomers. Just installed a woodburner in mine.Ive got to surround it with metal but I love it. Now if the gas runs out I can still have a BREW UP. Lets face it if you cant have a cuppa in the morning you might as well go back to bed.!! Slightly unconventional chimney but it draws well. Does anyone else have a woodburner.?
Ive had a few comments from the family like. He has to have a fire engine follow him and that looney has gone to far this time. Nothing unusual. I know Im not on here often friends but We are kindred spirits and I love you all.

I am pretty sure she won't step inside now the wood burner is installed.
Object of the exercise maybe?.
Seriously you are already one of the lovely characters who brighten the place up.

Hey Baldeagle, Your not from across the pond are you.?
what a magnificent bird the bald eagle is. Im into owls with their silencer feathers.
well the gas fire was at best tempermental and caused me to get the extinguisher out twice. It was fitted in 1993 when the old beast was built. When I got it out it looked to me more like circa 1893. Anyway we know that those calor gas heaters eat gas like mad an as far as Im concerned the fridge, hot water and cooker are too important to risk running out.

What have you been up to this year? How's the woodburner ? Our friends have one in their Hymer. It's only tiny but it makes the inside lovely and cosy.
